Co-directors Laura Weston and Sterre Maier have been working towards a series of workshops with refugees at City of Sanctuary in Leicester, investigating the impact their work can have on people in such challenging circumstances and sharing creative practices in a non-traditional setting.
Supported by ArtReach and having completed a workshop from the Red Cross as well as an online course on how to work with refugees, both creatives were overwhelmed with the dedication and effort from volunteers, the openness and gratitude from the refugees and the incredible creative spirits in the room.
Having delivered the first workshop in August, we're hoping to be back there soon for the follow up session.
Coming to The Silver Building E16 2AB on October 13th 2018
